Courses and Workshops
We offer workshops on bicycle repair and maintenance throughout the year.
Maintenance Courses
We offer versions of our maintenance course multiple times each year, usually from October – November and March – April. They can vary between four and six weeks depending on the content.
UPDATE as of June 2025: We are planning to run a four-week version of our course this fall. Applications will open in September 2025.
Come gain hands-on experience as you learn to fix and repair bikes! We will cover a range of repairs and maintenance from basic (tube change, brake adjustment) to advanced (e.g. hub overhaul, wheel truing).
This course also serves as training for Common Cycle volunteers. Students can commit to volunteering to help others fix their bikes following (or during!) the course by signing up as an Apprentice during our Public Hours, mobile events, or other sessions.
Spots are limited and fill quickly. Applications open in February (for Spring courses) and September (for Fall courses). Join our email list to learn when applications open.
Suggested donation $25.
No one turned away for lack of funds.
Workshops
We run a variety of workshops throughout the year on topics ranging from diagnosing common maintenance issues to wheel-building to winter commuting. Join our email list to learn about these offerings as they are announced.
